Office Visit - $42.40
Bordetella - 1 yr - $20.80
DHP - 3 yr - $20.80
Lepto - 1 yr - $20.80
Rabies 3 yr - $25.35
I had to return to the clinic because they put on the form that the dogs
were due for Parvo in 17 days!! Well, I'm not up on all the latest so I guess
we now get a 3 year distemper and a 2 year parvo which will be due next year
in 2008. There was some eye medicine and a biohazard waste management fee
which brought the total up.
Do those charges seem high or are they normal these days?

The charges seem VERY high to me. Try to find a vet who will work with
breeders. My vet charges a one time office visit (per dog) because I have been
going there forever and he works with me (and other breedrs.) If I am having
x-rays done or surgery, there is NEVER another office charge. This is the guy
who left his office to sit with me in the parking lot when I cried my eyes out
because I'd found Ketchy at home bloated and she died before I reached the
office. This is the guy who met me at his office at 2 am to help deliver a pup
that was stuck in the birth canal. This is the guy who is worried about MY
health because he knows I had a double mastectomy. He's a humanitarian--and he
loves dogs. And I love him.
