The wind blew about 40 mph here last night and ripped shingles off my roof,
blew my scoop bucket across the street and ripped off my back screen door.
It did this early last week as well and blew one of my runs over and
destroyed all my tarps covering the runs.
Ten years ago, when I lived down the street from where I am now, a tornado
hit my house. Scary stuff, but I'll take a tornado over an earthquake or
volcanic eruption any day.

Thanks for asking. We're okay on the outskirts of Little Rock, although the
storm last night was terrible. When I got to school today (I teach 8th grade
English) half the school was out of power. It was a little dicy for a while
but school crews worked hard and within a few hours we were restored. About
half the kids were out, and half the kids that were there have no power at
home.
Sadly, other parts of the state didn't do nearly as well.
