I realize it's a standard form, and I understand what they're trying to do
with it. I just doubt very much that I'll be allowed to adopt or foster a
dog from them, because of my guardian dogs. (Even if I could remember all
the pet rats and rabbits that we've ever owned, their death dates, and what
happened to them...!)

This is a shelter that cares about the placement of their dogs wish there
were more like this one.
Do the reputable breeders not require a contact when they sell a dog?  I see
no difference in them asking these questions which is the same that are on
many contracts a person signs with a breeder.
How are breeders or shelters going to know what kind of home the dog will
get if they don't ask questions?

hands of GSD  people , FIRST.  Not a single dog has left the shelter  yet,

 This is a non prof small BREEDER FRIENDLY shelter.  It  is in part run by

heart.   Personally I  have NO problem with  the adoption form.   They can
ask me anything  they want, and I will provide  the info, happily.
 I am glad they are being careful.    This is a  good group of people.  They
are doing everything they can.
