You know what drives me crazy - if you read the standard, temperament should never be an issue - a correct German Shepherd temperament should be a good show dog as well as anything else... Aloof or not, the standard explains that a dog must hold his ground.... I understand silly puppies who are fussy about mouths, etc... but if they are doing that, pull them and train them at home!! Excuses are a dime a dozen and everyone has one and in a breed that I really like as a well raised pet, the show dogs so often embarrass me.. But then, I watched a Dal bitch who needed a strangle hold this weekend get a 5 point specialty major too... It drives me insane in both the breeds I love. NO EXCUSES!!!
