You guys are all debating why we shouldn't make it easier.
My point is that the Parade of Greats, as well as the OFA CHIC, should be
HARDER to attain!!!! Just having been awarded a Select ribbon at one National
and living to be 7 is not my idea of a GREAT dog!!
People who prefer only specialties seem to be the ones who want extra-special
recognition for any and everything exclusive to Specialties; things that don't
take too much time or effort to attain!!

It is easy to say give it to the "top winners". But, when Ben was the
number one stud dog, I still kept hearing about other number ones. Top winner
in specialty shows. Top winners beating more dogs. Top winner with number
of dogs beat of any breed.
Before we run off to add catagories, we do need to figure out where to
stop, or instead just get rid of the extra awards. How many grand champions
are there now with the AKC, and now how many advanced? Isn't there a Gold
Grand Champion now. It is getting to be like the American Express cards. I
think platinum is the top one now, but I am not even sure of that. I know
my American Express card is the cardboard one.
