YES ! Ed, I did do it and not only did I take a ride, I got to drive the
team !!
That will always be among one of the best lifetime memories...even if I live
to be 100 !!
I had taken a cruise to Alaska, and there were certain places along the way,
that we stopped for other things to see and enjoy, and the passenger's had
the option to sign up for various things as side trips that were being
offered.
One option was a tour that included the opportunity to visit the dog sled
teams.
I decided that was a "Must Do" part of my trip....so I signed up and did it.
Not only that, after speaking with the person who was driving the team, he
actually let me drive the team. It wasn't cheap, and I don't recall how much
it cost, but that was and always will be one the the HIGHLIGHTS of my life.
And I have the photo's to prove it...somewhere in my pile of unmounted
photo's !
Do it...you will love it !!
