[ SHOWGSD-L ] Raw feeding GSD

Hiya Everyone -
With all the scare going on with pet foods, I have decided to take the
plunge on going raw. My mom has fed dals straight raw (not manufactured, but
home ground raw) for 8 years and had wonderful success with it. The dogs are
doing great and look awesome - including the elders.
I have always fed the girls mixed ground veggies, chicken wings, etc, in
addition to kibble and I know they would love to go raw.
But every breed is managed a little differently on raw - Flat-Coat Retriever
people all add a little grain to their meat and fewer veggies than the dal
people as they think it helps grow coat. Dal people feed chicken wings,
mixed veggies and not alot of fruit...
What I am wondering is what GSD people feed as far as raw and what success
have they had with what and what they would NOT feed. What, if any
supplementation do you use or do you only supplement with various foods. Do
you do a grain base (Sojourner Farms, etc) or do you strictly do meat and
veggies. Do you do any fruit and if so, what kind>
I have read all the books (and am borrowing them from mom to reread again)
and have belonged to the Raw4Dals list for a long time.. I am very
comfortable with it, but just want to know about breed specific feeding.
I am not looking to start a war and I don't need the reasons why NOT to feed
raw.. I am looking for info.
If people want to send responses privately, that would work too.
