I'm sure many of you have experienced the passing of the last dog from your
foundation bitch's first litter. Yesterday it was my turn. Ludy's body
finally gave out (arthritis), but her spirit never did. She was never one to
take life lying down and she was struggling to the very end to get to her feet.
She was sweet and fun-loving, but was one of those dogs that demanded you
take account of her! Ludy had just one litter (by GQ) and I can't thank her
enough for giving me my Racie (Coda's Rachael Rachael), aka: The Pup Nobody
Wanted. Racie had one elbow with UAP and so I kept her, had the operation,
spayed her, and she became my indispensable farm dog until she died of cancer
just last year, never having limped a day in her lifeâ¦
Rest in peace, my sweet, feisty Ludy; you gave me so many years of joy.
