Pat,
I really seriously doubt the diagnosis of Parvo. First of all, they are sick
a lot longer than one day. The INCUBATION period for the disease is longer
even than two days. It is not impossible, but rather uncommon for only ONE
puppy to get Parvo and NONE of the rest of the litter even a little sick.
I use Odoban myself since I can't be around chlorine, but both work and as
long as everything was cleaned you should be fine. Parvo does not live long
outside the "hose". It is actually a pretty fragile virus - outside of the
host animal.

I have a question on Parvo. In my last litter, I had One out of four
puppies
that got Parvo according to her Vet about two days after she went to her new
home. There was a Parvo test given, and she was put on IVs, antibiotics,
etc.
and got well in two days. My question is, No One was at my place that had
been to other kennels, etc, to my knowledge. The puppy never had diarrhea
at my
place, and I can't figure out how she could have gotten it. I paid the Vet
bill as the buyer thought he bought a healthy puppy and that was only the
moral
thing to do, but I do have questions about the diagnosis. She was at an
emergency clinic overnight on IVs and was apparently very sick.
Also, how long before the area the litter was in will be safe to bring
another mama dog in to have puppies. I know you disinfect with bleach, and
I also
have another strong disinfectant, but don't know if I have to more the
litters
to another area.
