I'm curious is it possible to get membership reports regarding new
members(names not numbers) over the past twelve months and monthly additions up
to voting time?
Or how up to date is the membership list on the PC website

Maybe they are doing one step at a time? You would be better served to write
the GSDCA Board directly and ask this. Speculation is a waste of time, IMO.
AND, I am guessing the breed standard changes will NOT be the only thing on the
Ballot? Will there not be other things to vote on, in the same packet????? This
may be why the voting is being held off until the yearly vote is held? I could
see added expense if a ballot was sent out now, with just the breed standard
changes on it.

I guess the cost would be the 49 cent stamp or bulk mailing, envelopes, cost of
paper ballots, hiring
someone to do it and does the GSDCA not need a Tabulating Agent? I do not know
how many
members there are but that would determine this.
Why was there not a proposal for the members to vote on for AKC to approve FSS
for
those that what the White Shepherd breed separation? It seems this would be a
fair vote so both sides to decide once
and for all know to see what the majority of members want. It seems one sided
for the white GSD clubs after in the past
the GSDCA got the letter from the AWSA voted on it to approved it and then
rescinded it. The UKC allows white GSDs to
show with the GSDs and has the separation breed for the White Shepherd why does
AKC & GSDCA not want to do the same?

Can
any of you explain to me why the Biewer (pronounced
Bee-Va) Terrier -- a "breed" that is
fairly well accepted
as being nothing more
than a tricolor Yorkshire Terrier
and is
*NOT* currently recognized by the FCI has now
gained acceptance into the AKC FSS, but the
White Swiss
Shepherd (BBS), a breed that
*IS* fully recognized both by
FCI and
internationally -- but not by our parent club,
apparently -- is not acceptable into the
FSS?
Can any of you kindly
explain why our AKC delegate
apparently
wants registered WSS/BBS imported into this
country to be added to the AKC GERMAN SHEPHERD
stud book
and gene pool instead of allowing
them to be used to help
found the White
Swiss Shepherd breed with AKC?
Finally, if DNA is so important to this
decision, can
anyone explain why there is a
YouTube video floating
around that shows an
AKC Champion Amstaff being tested and
the
test results coming back stating the dog is mostly
Border collie!? Are AKC pedigrees *that* far
wrong that a
Champion dog of one breed DNAs
as a totally different one?
Maybe I'm stupid, but I am just not
'getting' this.
One
would think that, if our club is going to go through
the trouble and expense of doing a vote on a
possible
Standard change, that it would also
like to settle this
'white' issue
once and for all. Is there any reason why a
question could not be added to the ballot -- or
an
additional ballot be included with the
Standard change
ballot -- asking the
membership whether or not it would
support
allowing any owners of white GSDs who desire to do
so, to use their dogs to help found and
establish a
separate breed (to be named
later) with the AKC Foundation
Stock
Service?
