Hi-Pro is/was mostly corn and other low quality grains and parts of grains (i.e., sweepings off some factory floor somewhere). Plus, it contains menadione which should not be in ANY dog's food! So - and I never thought I would hear myself saying this out loud - I agree with Purina!! Their Pro Plan products are heads and tails above Hi-Pro. As far as the cost of the product is concerned, please remember that the more nutrition the dog is able to get from each individual cup of food given, the less total you have to buy, feed or pick up in the yard.
