There was not enough glass to make up the whole ornament and I am concerned he may have eaten some of it. No bleeding. He seems okay (that is, until he saw the look on my face). I have a call into the vet. Anyone have any suggestions for a puppy that may have ingested pieces of a glass Christmas tree ornament? Thanks. Shirley Yes, and it seems you used bread and by now you should be out of trouble, but for future reference for all, here's a tip I learned for the holidays while writing an article for our newsletter: Take an (old fashioned) ice cube tray and fill each slot with a bit of cotton ball that you have pulled apart and made "fluffy". Pour milk in each slot and freeze. Later, un-mold and place "ice milk cubes with cotton centers" in a zip lock back in the freezer. If a dog breaks and eats glass or if a kitty eats tinsel, feed a few cubes and the cotton will snag whatever they ate.
