With all due respect, if someone I didn't know, or know terribly well
started querying me about how many litters, whether or not I was affiliated
with local or National clubs etc, I would be HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS of the
interrogating party.
We are VERY careful when answering any questions for people without
references from folks we know. For all she knew YOU could have been a local
AC authority snooping around or a potential criminal trying to ferrett
information from her about her dogs, for less-than-honorable purposes. I
would have I would think that kind of questioning would be VERY off putting,
esp the part about "sounds like a puppy mill.." At that point I would have
told you to go to....well you get the picture.
