You need a NEW vet.
Take her rectal temp. My German Shepherd girls, if pregnant, have a rectal
temp under 101, starting at around 4 weeks into pregnancy. No need for me to
get u/s at 4 weeks any more.

it has been a very weird month here. We bred our Bett, GCH. Keggi Fair's
UBETCHA, to Anita Clouse's Ch. Ranita's Dexter Morgan. the breeding went
perfect. Bett came home happy and we are so happy. But about 3 weeks into the
pregnancy, Bett and our cardigan, Sandy, got into a huge fight. And Bett got
the
worse of it all. (I teach her not to fight)! Well her eye was hurt and she
started spotting. After two days I took her to the vet. The vet said she needed
an ultrasound. So I said ok. I do not like that they will not let me see the
procedures. They came back and said she was not pregnant and her uterus is
thick
and should be spade. I said why? Does she has an infection? No but we are
treating it like a UTI. I said why? They said they could not get any urine but
have her take the amoxicillin 750 mg and eye solution and come back and get her
spayed. They said her uterus is thick. Well we were so disappointed. Not
spaying
her of course without a 2nd opinion. Well that was Oct. 28
. On Nov. 9th I gave all the dogs baths. Bett included and when she was all
wet
down I noticed she has a baby bump. Rather big baby bump. She would be almost 5
weeks pregnant. So we started to really watch her. She is eating more, growing
bigger, and this weekend she has really dropped and getting huge. She has
started nesting. She is due Dec. 8th. (in about 3 weeks). I called the vet and
she said, it is probably a false pregnancy! I AM SO MAD! My Bett is pregnant!!!
She states the amoxicillin would not have hurt the pups. I spent money for
what?
What do you all think? Oh the vet asked me if I see any movement. I said
movement??? Yea are the pups moving? This is Bett's only 2nd litter. She is so
healthy and in good shape. She is only 6 years old. What do any of you think? I
believe we are having puppies. Bett is eating smaller amounts but about 5 times
per day. She gets scrambled eggs and cottage cheese during the day. I have
another dog story too that I will write about on
another page. It just has been a weird month with vets....and expensive!
Thoughts anyone????
