Is it a dirty little secret that conformation and performance is not the
same. If you want to limit performance to conformation dogs, do it. But, then
you should also limit conformation to performance dogs.
If we take a conformation disqualification, then before we win in
conformation we might want to require an obedience degree. I don't know of any
Selects who have the performance degree before they go Select. Most if not all
of them go Select, then go out and get the performance degree to obtain the
AOE.
Think of if we want to mix the passions, or is this just a feel-good thing?
Not that there would be anything wrong with that.
