Dog fighters are not a racial/ethnic subset of society.

Every year the Calf State Humane Officers Academy had a session on dog 
fighting. Some of the best (most successful breeders/trainers ) of both cock 
fighters and dog fighters were in the south. There was (is) a rich history of 
fighting. Raising a successful line of dogs was something to brag on. I have 
seen films of interviews with some of them and what they knew about 
conditioning, motivating, breeding was pretty astounding. And these guys loved 
their dogs. They had incredible respect for the dog's ability and heart. I do 
not doubt their emotional connection to the dogs. But they were not "pets".

None of this was necessarily racial - any more than bootlegging was racial or 
gambling was racial. Same activity, different people depending on location.

When I lived in San Jose the police would come and sit in the parking lot 
watching a cock-fighting ring and bust them routinely. They always said that it 
was far harder to find the dog fighters because there was more money involved 
and richer clientele made for less interest in busting them. That was some 25 
years ago --

Well, if its not implying its an African/American problem just who is it 
implying it is?  It doesn't say  "white Americans"  or "Green Martians" for 
example.  Sounds like racial profiling to me.  If it walks like a duck, and
