Too many unanswered questions here. I had a section done a couple of years
ago for one puppy that she could not pass. Of course my bitch was in labor
at the time (puppies were ready to be born), but mom walked out after the
surgery, 2 hrs later, acting like nothing happened. I think it has to do with
the anesthesia. Today there are different drugs that are used and reversal
agents that we didn't have years ago.

I'm so to hear that you have lost almost the entire litter. Maybe some
others on the list can give us their thoughts.

Okay everyone, I have a question for you all.? First let me preface this
with an explanation.? I had to have a c-section on my CH bitch this past
weekend, one day prior to her actual due date.? This was a litter that I was
very
excited about and looking forward to tremendously.? Everything seemed to be
going well, except that it seemed to take an extra long time to get the
puppies
revived and alert.? Anyway, we lost two puppies before we left the vet's
office, because we couldn't get them revived.? After bringing them home, mom
of
course was too dopey to want to take care of the pups so we did the hot water
bottle and the periodic feedings to try to keep them going - none of them
really were showing any desire to nurse, spitting the nipples out, etc.? Long
story short, we have lost all but one little girl, and mom is just starting to
be herself.
I have a theory as to what I think was the cause, but I would like some
other opinions, if anyone has one.

Thanks!
Terri
