I did serve on the board, and was pleased to do so. I worked with some of
the finest people I have ever known, and gained great respect for the two
presidents I served under, Dan Smith and Bob Williamson. I learned a great
deal,
fought for what I thought was best for the members, and against those things
that I felt were wrong.
I have twice run for President and twice been defeated. I respect the wisdom
in those votes.
No, I would never run for the board again. It is too much work, too little
time in my case, too little energy left, and I no longer want to be blamed for
everything that goes wrong. I will do all I can for the club, the members, my
friends and everyone willing to serve. But, I will never be on the board
again.
I have nothing but great respect for anyone willing to run, and everyone who
serves.
With my current attitude, I am not qualified to be on the board.
