Actually, there is an answer, and it is very good news, everyone should be
relieved. The issue that was causing some concern and which formed the
basis to bring up "re-doing" the election does not appear to exist at all.
Funny that Patty wouldn't be aware of it...
The reason that was being used to support a "re-do" was that there would be
people who voted, sent in ballots that arrived but, due to the multiple
instructions and potential defacing of the return information on the
envelopes, could not be validated because their ballots might be completely
unidentifiable - because all identifying information on the outside was
unreadable. So far, there dont seem to be ANY in that category,
Whatever is being sent back to Election Services is getting there. There
never has been ANY issue about the envelopes not being able to make it back
to Election Services, only if they will be countable once received, and now
even THAT does not seem to be happening - there do not appear to be any that
are not countable so far due to return information being stricken off.
And, thanks to Molly, there is a solution that will still get ballots to our
Canadian members and back again in time. While this will not turn out to be
the simplest election the GSDCA has ever had, the problems are being
resolved one by one.

Well Patty, your husband is in the GSDCA Executive Committee.....you mean to
seriously tell us you don't know anything? First the committee removes
Sharon, now they put Sharon back on. The Canadian Ballots have been an
ongoing issue. It does needs to be solved, but I think the answer is NOT to
invalidate this election. Besides, the by-laws don't allow for that. I know
many have laughed at the by-laws this last year, but I think enough is
enough. Overnite Ballots to the Canadian members, and the Mexican members if
that is also an issue. Lets stop the posturing, please.

with the name, and codes scratched out...we need the FACTS!! The membership

Also how many ballots have gotten to our Canadian members? How can you have
a official elections without ALL our members being able to have their votes
counted.
