Get all the good dogs out in public. Lew should be running around with a dog
when he is not working, sleeping, or at a dog show. If all the local club
members take their dogs out and about and show all who can see how great our
dogs are, and these good people can be clear about what makes them different
from these other breeders who have too many litters a year, and don't love
their dogs like we do.
Make a spectical of how great we are.
I do every chance I get.

As you know, GSDs were added to a list of dangerous dogs (actually by
the representative from the local all-breed dog club) when Manhattan,
Kan., was considering BSL earlier this month. Happily, BSL didn't pass,
but two of the city commissioners threatened to revisit the issue if
there are any problems. We are hoping to lessen the chances of problems
with GSDs by forming a club to offer low-cost training and behavior
consults.
Two irresponsible GSD breeders are putting 8 or 9 litters on the ground
every year. There are LOT of badly-bred GSDs here. The breeders had
never heard of the Breeders' Code, or OFA. (Well they have now, but
aren't paying attention.)
