Central US would be Kansas or Missouri.
Map Quest shows the following......

TO: PURINA FARMS, GRAY SUMMIT, MO

*From: Los Angeles *

Drive Time: approx. 28 Hours. Via I-40 E - 1791.69 miles:

*From: Sacramento *

Drive Time: approx: 32 hours Via I-80 E - 1995.94 miles

*From: San Diego *

Drive Time: approx: 29 Hours Via I-40 E 1826.81 miles

Of course factors such as weather conditions, road conditions ie: traffic,
construction, detours all play a part in the drive time, miles and cost of
fuel.

If you look at this map the St Louis site is neither east-west-south or
north but
seems to be more in the center of the USA.

I keep reading the members voted for the National to rotate but can not
find this
anywhere or in the older Reviews. I have heard it was a poll and not a
membership
vote so does anyone know for sure what it was?

Members will never agree on the perfect site so the site should be best
for dogs, handlers
breeders and all the people that show their dogs. I will mention this
again as Lloyd Brackett held
a show in Allegan, MI small town where his kennel was with over 500 GSDs
attending from all over
the USA. Times have changed as back then people drove to shows and didn't
have jobs that prevented
them from traveling. Today people live different lives as the Dog Shows
are not their top priority. If someone has all the figures of attendance
of all the shows in various sites
in the last few years that would help determine a good site to chose.

Cost and availability of site with time spent on deciding where to go is
hard work for anyone involved.
