The excitement grows ....
We are meeting up with two others...and we will be in
a van with three dogs and four people....and 'stuff' for
the Rescue Table.
We drive 3 days with all the same excitement and hopes
of seeing some incredible quality German Shepherd Dogs
as every beginner!
Can't wait to see the Purina Grounds and the arena and
surrounding area and people we care about. We'll know
we're there when we see "The Arch". <G>
My husband and I are waaay past the age of normally being
involved in this kind of Sport...
and yet....... "The National CALLS"!! <G>
We leave at O DARK HUNDRED tomorrow!! See Y'ALL in St. Louis!!

I live to go to the National. I go to specialties all year long, but
continually check my time off at work to make sure I have the time for the
National. My husband lives to hunt and fish and uses most of his vacation
time for that. Sometimes we vacation together, but I live and breath for
the National. In years past I went on occasion. Not anymore. It's a
given I will go. I have money taken out of my paycheck and put into the
National fund. Last year my husband wouldn't let me drive my 03 Astro for
fear we would break down. My friend, Char Wilson and I rented a van to go
in. I got my first Select Excellent! At the end of August my husband and
I decided I'd better get serious about a new van with the National fast
approaching. Luckily I found a 2014 Chevy Express AWD with low miles to
travel in. Tomorrow morning I will leave bright and early from Etna,
Wyoming and head to Char's house in Rawlins, Wyoming. Connie Malo from
Utah will meet us there. We will pile 5 GSD's and 3 women in and head on
out. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I don't care where the
National is or how I voted for rotation. I wish we had stalls, but I will
make do with a grooming space. Every time I walk into the National
building for the first time no matter where it is I get chills. Some
feeling comes over me. I ca't explain it. So far rain, sleet and snow
storms haven't kept me away. With the good Lord guiding over us we'll see
ya' next week! Now save me some ribs!
