 Because of the limited time available after the BOD meeting, I recommend
youproceed with the election until we know differently, encouraging everyone
to vote and supplying those who have not received their ballots with
additional ones sent FEDEX overnight. The Executive Committee can make this

Ileana- First there needs to be a game plan- a list of proper questions to
beasked- thoughts on where we are headed regardless of whose fault- the
faultand expense can be addressed after the errors are corrected- Sharon and
Bill may both need to communicate with the Election company but the Board
should all be in agreement about the questions for consistency if nothing
else- I agree on the campaign issue and I think the very worst scenario
wouldbe to wait until the election is over and then assess the tally and say
foul-no one asked a Board member for an uninformed decision - just an
expedited meeting date - our Bylaws and P&P REQUIRE 13 DAYS NOTICE- by that
time there will be less options-Kris

Below is what many members feel needs addressing. I beg any director to
replyto anything that may be incorrect, so that we, the membership, have the
facts.

With the ballot situation needing to be handled properly, it is important
that we establish who's responsibility that is. That responsibility falls in
the hands of our Corresponding Secretary, Sharon Allbright.

So, lets allow for Sharon to contact the Ballot company, again. Lets get a
game plan, in writing, that addresses these questions: How are they handling
the missing Canadian ballots, and to re-send ballots, if necessary, ASAP.
Lets get a commitment, in writing, from this contractor. 

This needs to be done by Sharon, according to our By Laws. Also, dealing
withonly one person avoids any more confusion.

I want to go on record saying that I have spoken with many members in the
last few days, and we all agree that this is a most unfortunate issue, not
the fault of anyone on our Board. But we can NOT allow for this to be used
asa campaigning tool, or used to favor or discredit anyone in the board, or
any running candidate.

I hope the directors are as aware as they should be of all communications.
Nomemos or info should be coming to the membership if all the directors are
not informed. That includes the Executive Committee. 
The sky is not falling, and there is no reason for the Executive Committee
toact in haste, and no excuse for any director to be uninformed. No need for
emergency closed meetings, this is an issue that deals with the general
membership, what needs to be "closed" about that?

But the ultimate action, contacting the Ballot company, that is Ms
Albright'sjob. No one else's.
