I am not sure about the accuracy of the statement that we are "in the red".
Unfortunately I have not had time to look into it. It may be true, or not, but
I will ask the questions for my own informational purposes. As far as the 2013
World Show....from a breed political point of view, it is very important. I am
not sure what it would cost to host it if it were a single venue, but combining
it with our 100th year celebration will raise the overall costs for sure. But,
it is such a special time, and I am so excited to celebrate this great breed
that I have mixed emotions about the cost and feel lucky to be able to be a
part of a once in a lifetime thing. Cynthia

We are several HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF
OLLARS in the red and no one seems to care. At least it appears that no one
ares by the subject matter on this List. If the bleeding is not stopped we
ill run out of money in a short time.
If this is true and we are in the red, then what the heck are we doing hosting
the World Team in 2013!!! I really have reservations about doing this. It
will be very very expensive, can our club handle this? If we lose any more
members, less dues. While the lawsuit is definately worrisome because it could
also drain us more financially depending on the outcome, is it financially
appropriate for the parent club to be hosting this event?? We are in a
economic crisis right now, people, and business are cutting back to survive,
will the club survive 2013???? Just something to think about.

Where is the missing money??? Good question, makes me wonder where the Dog
riters association's alleged missing money is, as well as the rumor the AKC was
issing some money as well. Not sure about what is involved with AKC, but did
ead an interesting article not to long ago about the Dog Writers Association.
mmmm.. could there be a common denominator????? Perhaps the GSDCA needs the
ervices of a forensic accountant.
