paulette is correct. a friend of mine finished her dog, who only needed 1
point, with a 5 point reserve to a dog whose win was later DQ'ed. got a
letter from AKC telling her that her dog now had those 5 points.

I may be mistaken, but if the WD/WB is disqualified or whatever and the
points are taken away, then the RWD/RWB receives the points.
