If it's a major reserve sometimes it could be the final qualifier towards a
sire or dams ROM.

I may be mistaken, but if the WD/WB is disqualified or whatever and the points
are taken away, then the RWD/RWB receives the points.

winning reserve dog?"
Nope. I don't think any points should automatically be given to the Reserve
winners. Like it or not, the Reserve WD/WB did lose. When our puppy boy took
a 4-point Major Reserve his first time in the ring, we were more than a little
pleased with his performance. However, he didn't deserve any points as he did
not win.
