Anne,
Good Morning.
The WDA was established to allow Schutzhund or 'Working Dog Sport "
exhibitors to participate in their venue.
Before it was established there was misconception that somehow there might
be liability to the GSDCA and AKC
more for this sport than most, lol. Actually I have witnessed more
injuries at specialties , than ever , in SchH.
So the WDA was put in place as a way to do this, without directly involving
the GSDCA.
Now the AKC has finally figured out that this is s good and safe venue, and
there aren't dogs running amok
biting people, LOL. So they have given it their blessing. We are clear
to do this now, AS the GSDCA , not
by proxy with the WDA.
