How do you know it would be a money maker as opposed to a financial drain? I
am just asking. Having chaired a couple of herding trials, I know how
expensive it is to include various events. And does anyone want a longer
National? As it is now, it is almost impossible for a person to participate in
both herding and best of breed competition if they have a full-time job. And I
have a hard time wanting to support groups that treat us and our dogs with
contempt. I really don't see that changing, regardless of the level of support
we give them. We are in a financial position where we have to seriously ask,
"What's in it for us???" And we need to think realistically rather than
idealistically, IMHO.
