I borrowed a white mommy and raised her 3 white puppies with my orphaned
litter. They were the CUTEST pups!! Some were pure white, others had a
cream color across their back (saddle?)

Well... There you go. You should ask the other white GSD
folk on this list as they would know better than me. They
will most likely have seen and known many more white=20
GSDs than I have. But I believe it is considered fairly
common to find stray black or other color hairs growing
on the bodies of otherwise pure white GSDs.
Not every "expert" knows everything. Someone I used to
chat with on USENET used to say that genetics is doG's
little joke on us all.
