A person or part may be sued where the defendant resides, (the state of
incorporation) or the place where they conduct business. (International Shoe
is
the case on point.) In this case it was filed in Florida as the actions
claimed were taken in that state, and the GSDCA acts within the state. It
also
could have been filed in New York, or any other state. It also can be moved to
US District Court in any state.
I certainly agree with you Ileana - People can get together, apologise,
and stop all this - it is a question of "will they!" The answer to that
will determine their level of acceptance and respect by the club members.
Just my simple take on it!
There was an opportunity for that, and maybe it still exists. That is up to
the plaintiff, Margy. She will make that decision.
