[ SHOWGSD-L ] How are we handling the Lawsuit?

I don't know the answer to that. I heard Kris Fasano advising on legal
points at the Board meeting. Do we have a formal Legal Advisor? I thought I
read
that Kris had quit that position. And should our Legal Advisor be versed in
New York Law, being that we are incorporated in New York.
According to the officers, the lawsuit was filed in Florida. Do we need a FL
and a NY lawyer?
Couldn't some people apologize for their mishandlings and broken procedures,
and attempt to negotiate?
And should any of the officers named as defendant be chairing or
participating in any of the club business? Is that safe, or is that going to
get us in
more trouble? Let's be proactive, please. I tried to express the point that
Lew shouldn't be chairing the meeting, only to be told I was out of order. Oh
well.
I don't think we need to be paying a parliamentarian to seat at our
meetings. I can understand Lew asking her for advice, but it was distressing to
see
her asking Lew how to proceed with the Ballots. I thought she was going to
tell US that! We could be saving that money, the procedures are in our
By-Laws.
If anyone knows the answers to Bob's and mine questions, please post.
