Just a quick note - there were two off colored dogs in this litter and Dan was
one - he is Black and Tan/red. The rest are the correct color of SABLE ;) The
breeders couldn't be MORE proud!

Dan’s Story – Our Hero Puppy –

I met a couple at the vet when the puppies were 8 weeks
old. They ooo’d and aaaaww’d over mama Zena and
asked if they could see the puppies. I found out the
man was a longtime friend of my family. I KNEW this
was the home for my B&T boy. I met them at their
house and they fell head over heels for this boy. The
pups are now 18 months old. Dan has saved the lady of
the house’s life once at about 12 months old and later the
life of his companion dog from the grips of a hawk.
The dear sweet lady of the house goes into diabetic comas
without warning. She has some severe medical
issues. Yesterday at 4 am Dan woke the man frantically
pawing at him. The man tried to lead him outside but
he stayed by the ladies side pawing at her. They woke
her and tested her blood sugar and found she was at a level
where she was slipping into a coma. Dan would not
leave her side for the rest of the morning until he knew she
was out of harm’s way. HERO DOG AGAIN!
Dan has not been trained as a diabetic service dog. I
was happy to hear the first time wasn’t just a fluke –
he knows what he is doing. Dan is smart, loving, and
willing to give all he has to love and protect his
family. I am amazed every day by the heart given by
each of my puppies.
