Those look like air miles. Hard to fly in the car.
Driving miles is about 2000 from Portland, OR. It is not much more than the
"west coast" location of Ft Collins - 1200 or so.

every summer there growing up.

Purina farms is 2000 plus miles from
the west coast and less than a 1000 miles from the east
coast. You Are short central by 500 miles or a days driving.
The last time I photographed a show there everyone was
crawling in mud not a place I look forward to going back to.
