Terry this matter is not one that would be appropriate for consideration by
the Executive Committee and it to date has not been the subject of
consideration by the Executive Committee- Our Policy and Procedures Manual
schedules us to address committees at the meeting immediately following the
National Show. It did not happen. I brought the lack of committee selections
to the President's attention by email on January 2, 2005 the same day I
received an email from the President requesting committee reports and budget
requests for 2005 by January 10. I emailed her on two additional dates as
recently as last Friday. There was no response by email or any other
communication method- as Helen Miller Fisher aptly pointed out this is one
of the most important committtees, right after the Executive Committee in my
opinion and as Helen Miller Fisher also mentioned the committee meets for
two days and developes the budget for the year before the Board meeting -
the cow would already be out of the barn in my opinion- yes anyone can make
an innocent mistake but ignoring issues like this seldom lend good
results-Kris
