From my understanding there were two other options. A breed variety or
remove the color white as a disqualifying fault so they could be shown in the
breed ring again, as they were for years before a Board of the past changed
the standard. Either way they would have still been German Shepherds. Now
they will no longer be known as German shepherds if this information is
correct.

A German Shepherd is a German Shepherd, no matter the color. Just because
they are a certain color you may not like, they should be able be shown
in
their color class, like other breeds are done.
I totally disagree with the GSDCA Board on this one.
