animal rights? I bet if we humans were having our ears cut then we would be
wanting someone to intervene in our behalf to have it stopped!!! Humans
decided that a dobe would "look" better with cropped ears, humans decided
that pit bulls would be less prone to ijury in the fighting ring with
tightly cropped ears!!
We can blame humans on both ends of this debate, the side that decided to
crop the ears(for evr starting this stupid trend) and the side that is
wanting it stopped(for waiting so long to do something about it).
Animal rights is about the animals and their feelings, sufferings, etc. It
is not about the rights of human beings who decide to alter the physical
appearance of their dog by cropping and docking.....all for the sake of
making something more attractive to its owner? Their may be some other
explanation for cropping ears of dobes, min pins, pits, danes, and what ever
else it is done to, but the bottom line is that the dog suffers until those
ears heal to its new shape. It does not matter who performs the procedure,
it still is painful and the animal does suffer!!
