Thank you for your email. AKC works very hard to oppose breed-specific
legislation. You can read our recent alert on the proposal in Los
Angeles here: http://www.akc.org/news/index.cfm?article_id=2805. We also
addressed this issue on our press release about Rufus's win,
http://www.akc.org/news/index.cfm?article_id=2800, and we are pleased to
have such a wonderful dog to use an example of why breed-specific
legislation is not an appropriate way to deal with dangerous dogs.
I am also attaching our position statement on this issue for your
review. Please let me know if there is any additional information that I
can provide to you.

Comment: I hope you realize tha the Best in Show winner at the really
most prestigeous show in the country - Rufus - would not be allowed to
enter Los Angelese, or many other cities - thanks to a great extent on
your support for the animal rights groups like HSUS, PETA, etc. I think
it's time you got rid of Mr. Holt, and remembered what the Kennel Club
was all about.
