well first an second row ring side seating can be bought put tents on both
sides and the one that is already there, I think there could be a platform for
seating for 3 rows at least under the tent. videoing can be done under the
tent, is it ideal no, but either is the flooring. Majority of the dogs don't
move on that flooring like they would in the grass or dirt. PA system is
horrible and many dogs hate it. What is best for the dogs not us. vendors are
a problem but then at outside all breed shows there are vendors under tents.
All I know if we are going to be at Purina indefinitely and it looks like that
is the way it is going to be then something needs to change on the flooring
and sound system.

Having judged on that floor I can tell you it's terrible. You get a bad
reflection up from the light gray floor, the glare of the lighting down and
then the white drapes in between. When the ring is not opened up you can get
dizzy turning so much.
The PA system is another big problem.
It is unfair to the dogs, judges and handlers and owners. I had so many dogs
I could have done more with but they could not handle that floor. Think about
it. Most of our dogs are shown outside and I could tell felt uncomfortable.
Especially young dogs.
The problem is the seating. You would have to be outside everyday even in
inclement weather.
Tents would have to be set up. You could not have tiered seating so how many
people are going to buy seats if they can't see.? Just bring your own.
Seating is a good revenue source.
What would the vendors do? They could not be outside. Another source of
revenue gone. I am sure if it rained Purina would not want wet people and
dogs in and out to get food etc.
How would they do the videos?
See it's not just about the floor.
Gail Stieferman is doing an outstanding job and does not get enough credit.
Please take a moment and tell her instead of only communicating when
complaining and volunteer to help.
