*I agree, Helen. My dad raised and showed dogs, and I whelped my first litter
when I was eight years old. I always had the responsibility of our dogs,
feeding and grooming, and it was just a part of life to me. Through the years
there have been times I have been unable to participate but I always had a dog
even if I was not actively showing or breeding. I can't imagine life without a
