MY Dear GARY , It could not have been put into words , or said any better
than you did here. AND among Good people in this breed , No one is nicer
than you are! BRAVO!! GARY , BRAVO !!!!!!
I have never met Barbara Williams in person.? I have only corresponded with
her through email.? I can not IMAGINE anyone being rude to her.? No one I
have talked with in all my years of breeding dogs has been more willing to
teach than Barbara.? And not only is she WILLING to teach but she is KNOWS
what she is teaching....And she is so NICE... Fran Ford described Ms
Williams? to me as "classy... a very classy lady". (WHAT A COMPLIMENT!)
To all the new people who think that they are going to be successful in
their own way, let me say, I HATE to burst your bubble.? You will not be
successful in any new way... you will not be successful YOUR way.? You will
not breed a bitch you bought out of the newspaper for $150 to the dog who
belongs to your neighbor down the street and? breed a Grand Victor or Grand
Victrix.? If you and I ever become successful we will do it by following the
plan implimented by successful people before us. We will become successful
by following the direction of people who were successful before us and are
willing to teach US because they feel that teaching US is best for the
breed.
I feel so fortunate to have started breeding dogs when I did (1993).? So
many of our great breeders and judges were still with us then. Ernie Loeb
was at every National... as was Ann Mesdag.....I was so fortunate to meet
Fran and Joan Ford at a dog show in Knoxville and I learned everything I
could.? I wasn't lucky enough to have met Mr Brackett or Ms Woodard but Joan
had learned from them and she was willing to teach me.
The great breeders will tell you not only about their successes but about
their failures..... Go to Eko-Lan's web site and you can learn more in a few
hours that you have learned in months... maybe even several years.
Still we have Ms Barbara Williams, Ms Helen Miller Fisher, Mr Fred Migliori,
Ms Sally Hayden, ?Mr Jim Moses, MS Delaine Thompson,? and Ms Barbara
Amidon.... All these people are willing to teach because I have learned from
every one of them.? You will not make many friends or influence many people
by being rude to our heros past or present.
