There was another awesome filly, Go For Wand, who broke down in the 1990
Breeder's cup and continued to run after shattering her right ankle.
It was one of the most horrifying things I've ever witnessed. People who
watched this race will never forget it...
Go For Wand was euthanized on the track, and then buried in the infield at
Saratoga.

Sadly enough, when I asked him, he said, "Pick a race anywhere in America on
any given weekend! The only difference with this one is that it's
televised, nothing different".
