I find the Pine-sol orange cleaner works the best for odors. Yes, if you have a bunch of dogs in the house, it can get smelly, no matter how clean the dogs and the house are. Especially in hot, humid weather. The orange cleaner gives the house a nice, clean scent. I also got demim sofas. I can throw the covers in the washer anytime they get dirty. Just like jeans. I also put potty pads between the covers and the cushions so wet dog doesn't permeate the cushions. Febreeze is a staple here for in between laundry times. I'm sure there is still an underlying odor in the house. I figure if folks don't like it, they don't need to come in the house :-) The dogs are the priority. They are permanent, visitors are not.
