You Have to have at least one sable parent to have sable puppies. Sable is a
dominant gene. You can breed two sables and get all black and tans. Both
parents have to carry the black gene to have any solid black puppies. If you
want to know from an expert on this subject ask John Ayotte. He knows all this
stuff better than anyone. If you go to his website he has a page just on
color and genes and how it works.
