Maybe the problem didn't loom as large in people's minds 2 years ago as it
does today. Most people seem leery of "conspiracy theories". The potential
for us to out organize the AR people certainly exists. A network of PCs and
local breed clubs could certainly generate a lot of publicity. I like the
ideas put forward below. As long as we remain publicly silent, we appear not
to care about health, good animal husbandry, responsible breeding, rescue,
etc. While I know we sometimes disagree on the definitions and boundaries
implicit in these issues, we need to realize that much time is lost in this
disagreement. While we argue among ourselves, and hide our heads in the sand,
the AR people are united and well funded in the presentation of a coherent and
powerful national message.

The Dobie and the Rottie Club are still willing. This was discussed and
encouraged (A letter was sent from them to us even, inviting us). i was still
in Colorado, so it was over 3 years ago now :-(

Such a coalition was discussed over 2 years ago at a board meeting, and
letters were to be sent to other PC's. I don['t think that happened.
