Well GEE! Trying to make it known ahead of time the National in our own
back yard is being
"NEGATIVE"?? Negative to who?
Kind of like shooting myself in the foot is hurting someone else?? Just to
clarify....I said all this
to the Board when I WAS a Board member...and I sure wasn't trying to be
negative to myself then!
Also....It is not necessary to ACTUALLY FLY with a # 500 crate to find out.
You just need to try to
BOOK ONE making sure they know it is a # 500 or larger and make sure it will
fit in both aircraft.
Not once have any of us questioned Gail and her work ethic, nor anyone on
the National Committee!
They are awesome....AND they have an awesome job. We want an awesome
National.
This is an open discussion on the problems we all face every single year if
we need to get to National
sites with a # 500 crate. Until you've tried it you cannot criticize the
concern.
Linda Bankhead took the time to actually try to book flights into the
mentioned sites....from MAJOR
main hub airports. She merely posted the results. That is being super
helpful...not critical IMO.
We are not the enemy. All we want is successful Nationals for EVERYONE with
a dog.

It actually brings down entries and revenue for the system. It was an
experiment that failed.
Also having a breeder judge in their own area brings down entries - they
need to judge where they
do not breed and sell their puppies to increase entries. Clubs need to
think of this when
they select their judges.
It is almost impossible to fly a dog anywhere these days. Airlines change
the plane sizes daily.
I dan take the same flight on Friday one week and Friday the next week and
have a totally
different sized plane.
Your Board is trying to find a west coast site that is affordable - works
for the club.
Gail is working her butt off and these negative comments are not helpful.
She will be taking a crate
to Reno. Thank you Gail for your hard work. Very few people wotrk as hard
as she does.
NO SITE is going to be perfect for everyone.
And sites are still available for 2017 and are being researched
