The Beauceron is related to the Briard. It has double rear dew claws and a J tail just like the Briard. They come in black and rust and harlequin. Harlequin dogs must have tan markings in the same places as the black and rust dogs. They are herders/flock guardians and have an aloof temperament like the GSD. They have height disqualifications. Their National, called the Journee, is judged by French judges. This breed was going to be my new breed if the GSDCA had capitulated and changed our standard to the FCI standard.
