Banfield is the veterinary care located in Petsmart stores. They tend to be
sort of low quality in regard to dogs that are actually sick and they will do
everything and recommend everything for every dog. I liken them to Midas and
other chain mechanics store. They will tell you everything that needs done
even if it could wait another 5 years and if you are silly enough to say "Oh
Okay" they will take you for as much money as they can LOL I would not trust
them for any sick dogs but have told people their shots clinics are low cost
and that is good for some people who can't afford vet care otherwise. I just
tell them not to agree to anything else, just stick with the shots or they
will
have them bringing the dog in for their teeth, blood work because the breed
or mix they have (predominant breeds) are prone to this or that. One of the
rescue dogs we placed (11 week old puppy) was returned to us because the vet
looked at him and said oh, look at him walk he has hip dysplasia and when I
asked them who their vet was they said Banfield. This was actually a pretty
well bred puppy who was loose as are 11 week old puppies and the pup is 2
years
old now - guess what, hips are fine LOL
