Well Ruth, I'm not only embarrassed, but also perplexed. I was the one
who suggested that the agenda be sent via Constant Contact to the membership
or if not cost effective, put on the web page. I not only sent this
suggestion to the list, but to the entire Board. Imagine my SURPRISE when I
got
notice that, low and behold, it's been on the web page prior to at least the
last 4 or 5 Board meetings. What I also got was quite a lot of emails
saying it was an excellent idea. Guess those people were also unaware of the
fact that it had been posted on the web page for Board meetings going back
over a year. Per our web page person, I was told it was posted prior to the
last 4 or 5 meetings. I do check the web site especially for the
minutes/results and never did see the agenda posted. However, I have to admit
I
never looked for it, because I didn't know it was available there. Our web
page is extensive and well done, but you have to know what you are looking for
to find it, if you are unaware that it's there why look for it? Question,
how many members did know that the agenda is and was available? Is it
only Ruth and I that were in the dark? As I said when I posted the suggestion
all I got was 'great idea' only one board member replied, not one other
person indicated that indeed the suggestion I put forth had been in effect for
at least a year. Sadly I still have to say COMMUNICATION is the real
Achilles heel of this club.
