[ SHOWGSD-L ] AMATEUR FUT. RULES???

Last night I believe a question was posed to the list by "Zane" inquiring
as to when the Am. fut. rules had changed. Good question, so I started
scanning the minutes. The Oct.2006 minutes( I think pp8) list the original
rules, they were approved by the Board. However, in Jan of 2007, due to the
request of handlers, exhibitors and the like the rules were modified to
allow entering both the am. and reg. fut with the same animal. This change
was approved by the Board, according to the minutes. So my question is when
did the Board approve to resend the Jan. approval? Also final question, in
the Oct. 2006 minutes( pp10 or so) 1800.00 was donated by an anonymous
donor to be allocated for awards in the 2007 fut/mat. Where is the
1800.00..why wasn't it given to the winners since it was supposed to be
earmarked for awards? Can we expect to see it given as awards this year?
Not trying to put anyone on the carpet here, just wanting a couple of
answers. I would think that any change to the Am. fut venue would be under
the two year rule, and that no change would be made w/o Board approval.
Perhaps I am missing where this vote was taken. Sincerely, Christine
