a local self professed commercial breeder - who always has 3,4 or more
litters on the ground at a time, not just in a year, - told me that the
pups have to be sold by 7 weeks to make the money she expects - she also
starts giving them antibiotics at 5 weeks to ward off complications before
they are sold - needless to say, I know of many of her pups that died before
they go to saleable age - I guess that's why the need for so many litters -
to offset the losses..
sheesh!!!
